V BGI Annual Conference 2002 - Buenos Aires, Argentina

This Conference, which took place in the incomparable setting of the Caesar Park in Buenos Aires, brought together all of the ingredients required for the network to progress in terms of boosting the personal and professional ties that exist among its members. The papers delivered on the first working day, 10th May, were of especially high quality, based on the participation of network members and guests of considerable renown. Attendance was both strong and active. However, there was also time to evoke the life and work of our international network of independent law firms, Balms Group International, which staged its Annual General Assembly the following day, featuring a number of slots set aside for papers focusing more specifically on the network's concerns, papers that were, nevertheless, no less interesting. A number of discussions also took place, leading to some important decisions regarding the development of our network.

To the rhythm of tango, featuring two fabulous shows, one on the corner of Carlos Gardel and the other the Tanguería at the Teatro El Nacional, we discovered and rediscovered all the charms of a marvellous city, including its artistic delights at the workshop of Mirta Kumpferminc, its past and present, its cuisine and, above all, the warmth and friendship of its inhabitants.

The Conference culminated with a Gala Dinner, one that all of the participants will remember with particular emotion, given that it was a truly perfect evening and provided a fitting end to a great congress staged by Balms Group International.
