V BGI Biannual Conference 2010 - Gibraltar, United Kingdom

The International Organization of Independent Law Firms Balms Group International (BGI) held its V BGI Biannual Conference in Gibraltar from the 18th to the 19th of November 2010.

During two intense days, lawyers around the world from the International Network of Independent Law Firms BGI met at the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula, the rock of Gibraltar, to attend one of their yearly appointments: V BGI Biannual Conference. Every occasion, one of the affilate firms hosts the event, and Nicholas Cruz, on behalf of Cruz & Co. and Acquarius Trust Company LTD, was responsible for welcoming all participants to the V Edition of the Biannual Conference. Gibraltar firm took this opportunity to offer a welcoming cocktail to delegates and partners as a celebration of its recently opened offices at Icom House, 1/5 Irish Town offices. The chosen place to stay in Gibraltar during the conference could not be other than The Rock hotel, overlooking the Bay of Gibraltar and the Rif Mountains of Morocco. But these were not the only views that participants enjoyed during their stay in Gibraltar. The conference of November 19th was held in Mons Calpe Suite, at the very top of the rock of Gibraltar. Located within the Cable Car Top Station complex, the exclusive Mons Calpe Suite offers 220 grades view over the Rock and the Bay of Gibraltar and Africa. BGI Members from Cyprus, Munich (Germany), Tangier (Morocco), Sofia (Bulgaria), Milan (Italy), Vitoria (Brazil), Madrid, Vigo, Lleida, Barcelona and Marbella (Spain), Bucharest (Romania) and Gibraltar, among others, attended V BGI Biannual Conference. After the conference sessions, BGI V Biennial Conference cocktail and closing dinner was held in the facilities of The Rock hotel. Prime Minister of Gibraltar, Peter Caruana, attended the cocktail, before the closing dinner, and presented an interesting talk regarding the current status and future of Gibraltar. Later, during the closing ceremony dinner, participants enjoyed an opera. The Conference of Gibraltar has meant the unity of Balms Group International and the organization's decision to expand in South America, Africa and Asia, while maintaining its quality standards and communication.
