Glenn Stein
Director

Glenn has over 20 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions and technology law and is recognised as a leading attorney in the mergers and acquisitions, information technology and electronic communications sectors. Glenn has also advised clients on transactions in the mining, energy, electronic communications and financial services industries. Glenn services a number of global clients as well as blue chip clients in South Africa and other African countries and has a wealth of experience in doing business in Africa. He has also successfully run a number of landmark cases in the South African telecommunications industry and has extensive dispute resolution experience in South Africa, Nigeria, Zambia, Zimbabwe, DRC and Mozambique.

Bradley has been practising law for over 23 years and has been a partner of two large global law firms. Bradley has lead numerous mergers and acquisitions transactions, corporate restructurings and private equity deals. He is also one of the foremost telecommunications lawyers in South Africa having advised numerous players in the industry. Bradley also has extensive experience in project finance having worked at the International Financial Corporate in South Africa.

Carlo Visentin

Carlo Visentin

Carlo completed his articles in 2012 at a large global law firm whereafter he was employed as an associate for three years specialising in mergers and acquisitions and general commercial and corporate matters. Carlo has been involved in a number of transactions with listed, state owned and privately held entities and has participated in a number of significant corporate restructurings and acquisitions in various industries including telecommunications, financial services, mining and vehicle and fleet financing and management. Carlo completed his BA LLB degree cum laude at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2010. Since completing his university studies, Carlo has also gone on to complete various courses in prospecting and mining law, advanced company law and advanced business rescue.

Amelia Berman

Amelia is an Employment and Labour attorney and CEDR Accredited Mediator. She specialises in Labour Court and Labour Appeal Court applications and trial work, with particular expertise in strike interdicts and review applications. She represents numerous clients across a number of industries and sectors including financial institutions, energy, infrastructure, mining and commodities, telecommunications, retail and private security. She provides her clients with strategic advice relating to unfair/automatically unfair dismissal disputes, sexual harassment disputes, poor performance management, terminations, retrenchments/restructuring, industrial relations, collective bargaining, recognition of majority unions, transfers and mergers as well as immigration law. She has extensive experience running arbitrations in the CCMA and in many bargaining councils and is particularly skilled at dispute resolution and negotiating/facilitating the settlement of disputes. Amelia’s expertise also includes drafting and reviewing permanent and fixed term employment contracts as well as contracts in respect of a-typical employees and independent contractors. Amelia obtained her Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Law and Industrial Psychology) and LLB degrees from the University of Witwatersrand and completed her articles at a large global law firm in 2010. She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in April 2011 and practiced as an associate and senior associate at a large global law firm until she joined Stein Scop Attorneys Inc. as a director in 2016.

Sian van der Weele

Sian completed her articles in 2016 at a large global law firm whereafter she was employed as an associate in the commercial litigation department.  Sian has been involved in numerous litigious corporate matters including contractual disputes, insolvency and business rescues, as well as other general company law matters.
