BGI Balms Group International was founded in 1996 by Balms Abogados and Black Graf & Co, being the first international organisation of medium sized independent law firms of Hispano-English origin. The aim of BGI since its foundation is based on the following principles: - Medium sized member firms
- A willingness to supply our clients with an effective, integral and personnalized service.
- A service of juridical-legal assistance at international level, both co-operating member firms from different jurisdictions on a same case, and referring a file to a partner of other jurisdiction or country.
- A unique way of thinking, feeling and understanding the law practice and the juridical services.
- A forward-thinking commercial attitude with international vocation and vision of future.
The philosophy of BGI is based since its beginning on the international vocation of its members and on the absolute conviction that it is necessary to enlarge boundaries, knowledge and practice to give a larger and better service to our clients. With the increasing globalisation of business, it is imperative that lawyers are in a position to meet their clients needs on the international stage. However, it is also recognised that in most cases, globalisation prevents small or medium-sized firms of lawyers from providing, in other countries, the same comprehensive level of services that is given to clients in their home countries. BGI provides the solution. It comprises an association of like-minded, independent medium sized firms in different jurisdictions and/or countries of the five continents , all of whom have the same comon international vocation under the BGI logo. When the need of intervention in a file arises, clients can be referred to the appropriate correspondent BGI firms in the required jurisdiction or country. In the case of supra-national cases, there is close liaison between the BGI firms involved. Whether a case is international or a simple referral, it is of absolute importance that clients can have confidence in the lawyers and professionals handling matters for them. For this reason BGI members are hand-picked: its expansion has been and will be measured, given the high level required from every member in satisfying strict conditions from a professional and personnal point of vue. Controlled by an Executive Committee, BGI (Balms Group International), aware of the complexity of today’s business world, has selected a large and complete organisational structure of independent law firms from the five continents specialised in different areas, allowing every firm of BGI to focus its experience to bring precise and imaginative legal solutions in a national, international or supranational scope. |
